The lock kit features the following key specifications:

• Fits garage doors with a thickness ranging from 1-3/8" to 2" • 1-1/2" mounting post distance and 3-1/4" shaft length • 90-degree rotation, clockwise to open • Includes two keys and two sets of mounting bolts

For installation, the screws are designed to be installed from the inside of the garage door, providing better safety and security than exterior mounting. The random keying system ensures that each lock set has a unique key, making it difficult for others to duplicate and gain unauthorized access to your garage.

The T-handle design allows for quick and easy manual operation, with the outside lever staying unlocked for rapid entry if desired. The inside lift lever can always be used to exit the garage, preventing a "locked-in" situation.

This garage door lock kit is compatible with overhead garage doors, but cannot be used on swing-out doors. It is not suitable for doors less than 1-3/8" or more than 2" thick, and the center and left/right holes on the door must be large enough to accommodate a 5/16" screw.

Please note that this is a non-original aftermarket part, so it's important to ensure the mounting post distance matches your existing door, which should be around 1-1/2".

The package includes all the necessary components for installation, including spring latches, striker plates, two 10-foot cables, an inside release handle, and all required screws and fasteners. Detailed instructions, as well as instructional videos, are provided to guide you through the installation process.

For safety reasons, the keys are randomly keyed and cannot be duplicated. If you lose the keys, it's recommended to remove the old lock and purchase a new one, as it may be more cost-effective than trying to duplicate the missing keys.
